"IN LOVE"

The oil painting and collage that were created last semester remind me of an important issue. In the generation I was born into, I always need to find beautiful things to nourish my soul in order to face the harsh reality and the monotony of life. Even though reality can be beautiful, it is often difficult to accept without some modification or packaging. Therefore, whether I am watching movies or reading comics, I often replay my favorite parts, hoping that the feeling of happiness will not fade.

Endings in stories rarely depict the situation after a happy life; they usually focus on the most beautiful aspects of a character's emotions. The emotional dynamics between same-sex couples also align with this perspective. Despite facing rejection from societal stereotypes, they still choose to pursue love.

Furthermore, I use nature as a metaphor for reality. Just like in the natural environment, nature does not always present itself in a perfect form, and human relationships are similar; they do not always appear perfect. Apart from happiness, there are also experiences and emotions such as sadness and loss, yet their love relationships in life remain beautiful. Through the process of painting, I perceive the beauty of love from others, and it serves as a manifestation of my pursuit of happiness and love.
